Research Assistant, Monash University, Australia
As a research assistant in Monash university I worked on a project which explored how large language models (LLMs) like GPT-4 and Microsoft Copilot can perpetuate societal biases in software engineering, reinforcing stereotypes related to gender, race, and other dimensions. This project was a collaboration with Dr Muneera Bano from CSIRO’s Data61 and Professor Rashina hoda. Our paper titled “What Does a Software Engineer Look Like? Exploring Societal Stereotypes in LLMs,” co-authored with Muneera Bano and Rashina Hoda, has been accepted at ICSE 2025 SEIS.
